Who should you fire

Seth says here (http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2007/05/who_should_you_.html) that he’d prefer to hire people who don’t simply follow instructions.
The extremely large (in worlds top 100) company I work for is currently going through a process of proceduralising (if that’s a word), documenting, packaging and sending to India as many jobs as it can.
I prefer Seth’s idea but in reality it’s just a matter of time before I’m asked to turn my job into a flow chart for an Indian to follow – fortunately to do that for my jobs will take me about 5 years and by then it will be completely out of date.
Big companies do lots of really stupid things, the problem is that at the end of the year, if they make a profit (we do – billions) then the management think they’re doing it right…
